My crew and I were working here for the past week and decided to come give Floyd's a try. We had the pleasure of trying the ribs and were quickly greeted my a mountain of meat. Needless to say it was incredible. You can tell love and care goes into their food. We ate here 3 out of the 5 days we've been here. Highly recommended!

Food was good. Servings are huge. I added the peach cobbler for dessert I wasn't sold on it, I didn't care for the way the crust was made so it was hard to eat. The red velvet cake was ok it wasn't as moist as I would have like it to be but it was still good. The best part of the meal was the fried okra.....
I'll avoid going on Sunday's. The line was out the door with folks coming in after church. -

Food is pretty tasty but when the hour hits 8pm they lock the doors tight. I know they tired but sheesh you still had chicken cooked and still denied my opportunity to get a 4 piece. Well Popeyes here I come.

Came here because we wanted some soul food. The location was in a sketchy part of town but it's a proven fact that these places have the best food so okay. The wait was about 15 minutes or less. We ordered the tilapia and shrimp with a side of Mac and cheese and green beans. We also had catfish plate with broccoli casserole and Mac and cheese. And a slice of chocolate cake because that was all they had left. All of this came up to around $30. First off I only got 1 piece of fish and 3 pieces of shrimp. I thought that was ridiculous! The Mac and cheese had the big penne noodles. I have NEVER seen Mac and cheese like that in my life. And it was not seasoned. I think the green beans was the best thing on my plate!!! Like why are these so-called soul food places in Charlotte afraid to season the food! I hate that I have to go home and drown my food in hot sauce. The chocolate cake was moist. My daughter liked it. The food was just average. I was not wowed. I would eat here again maybe if I wanted some more of those green beans and cake. The catfish was average and so was the cornbread.

Excellent southern food in hearty southern portions. Come here if you're hungry! I ordered a dinner combo consisting of one fried chicken thigh and one fried chicken breast, with 2 sides.
The chicken is extra crispy and so deliciously seasoned with very tender juicy meat inside. You know I like it juicy! My sides were the collard greens which is the best I've ever had. The kind here is has a sweet tone to it, instead of the pickled kind found most everywhere else. My other side was broccoli cheese rice which was really good. There's a complimentary piece of cornbread that comes with it too which was buttery and moist and didn't crumble like a lot I've had before from other places. Will return again soon, I wish I knew this place was here years ago because they'd probably know me by name already!
